Abbie's 6 wk portraits

We got Abbie's pictures done today and they turned out soooo cute! We tried to do some with big brother, Caleb, but only a few turned out. Abbie is doing great- her tummy looks almost normal, she is eating like a champ, sleeping like a baby (ha ha!), and growing everyday! She weighed 6lbs 8oz at the Dr.'s office last week! She gained over a pound in a week! God has blessed our family so much!

Caleb loves loves loves Abbie! He kisses her all the time, and has only tried to wack her once or twice.... out of pure brotherly love and affection, Im sure! :) He's still getting used to the fact that she is real and not a doll. He hands me her diapers and wipes whenever she needs changing-such a good helper! He finds her pacifiers all over the house and brings them to me and says "Baby" in the cutest voice! He is a great big brother!

Abbie is HOME

Abbie is home from the hospital!!!! Hurray! God is so good to allow us to have our little girl home this soon! The doctors and nurses are baffled as to how she recovered so quickly, but we know that all the glory goes to God!! Caleb absolutely LOVES Abbie- he wants to hug and kiss her all the time. Its so sweet! She is doing well and we love having her home. Thank you all for your prayers and please continue to keep her in your prayers as she grows and gains some weight.
Sleeping beauty!

"She's cute, but what do I DO with her?"
This picture is blurry, but I thought both of their expressions were so cute!
Kisses....

Daddy got to hold Abbie!

Mike and I were able to go see Abbie last night after church and Mike got to hold her for the first time! She is doing sooooo great! The first thing the nurse said to us when we walked in was "She had a poopy diaper!!!!" Hurray! This is a HUGE answer to prayer! They took her stomach pump out and will introduce milk to her within the next couple of days! Now its just a matter of time until she gets to come home! Praise the Lord!

HAPPY 1ST VALENTINES DAY ABBIE!

Abbie's 1st Valentine's Day

Abbie's bandage was removed yesterday and the doctors say that her tummy is healing very quickly. She is still on pain medication but hopefully she'll be off of that within the next couple of days. We are praying now that her intestines begin to digest normally and waiting for her to have a bowel movement. How many people pray for that? :) Once that happens, she can begin taking small doses of milk. This process could take several weeks or just a few days. It all depends on how she reacts to the milk she's given. Thank you all for your prayers and please continue in them.
